Welcome Back!
I'm looking forward to a new school year with the 750 students that have registered at St. John Fisher. Many improvements have taken place over the summer, including a new gym floor, windows in the convent, remodeled conference room, new computers in the O'Neill north lab, a totally refurbished science lab, and seven "smart classrooms."
Please view our Acceptable Use Policy, which clearly explains acceptable and unacceptable uses of technology. Please review this document carefully with your children. We have a wonderful technology program that is respected throughout the Archdiocese. I'm very much looking forward to working with the seventh and eighth graders, who will begin the year with a unit the 2008 Election.
We also have developed a new Academic and Behavior Policy, which clearly defines our academic expectations, and also identifies behaviors that are unacceptable, and the corresponding consequences. We hope that the parents and school can work together toward achieving some common goals in the area of student academic achievement and behavior. Please also review this document carefully with your children.
I'm available through email, by phone or in person if you have any concerns or questions. Please feel free to contact me this year as the need arises.
